Is my data safe and private?

Yes, absolutely. Promptic processes all text data entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server. We don't collect, store, or have access to any text you paste or upload.

The tool works completely offline once loaded. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads - it will continue to work normally.

What types of content does Promptic detect?

Promptic automatically detects and formats two types of content:

Text paragraphs Blocks of text separated by blank lines are detected as individual paragraphs

JSON blocks Valid JSON objects and arrays are detected and displayed with syntax highlighting

Each detected section becomes foldable, making it easy to navigate and understand long texts.

Does Promptic work offline?

Yes! Once the page is loaded, Promptic works completely offline. All text processing and formatting operations happen locally in your browser.

Your sessions are also stored locally in your browser's storage, so you can access your previous work even without an internet connection.

Can I save my work?

Yes! Promptic automatically saves your work in sessions. Each session is stored in your browser's local storage and persists across page reloads and browser restarts.

Your collapse/expand state for each section is also saved, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.

Can I work on multiple texts at once?

Yes! Promptic supports multiple editing sessions, allowing you to work on several texts simultaneously. This is perfect for:

Comparing different prompts or configurations
Working with related API responses
Keeping reference texts alongside your work

Use the sidebar to create new sessions, switch between them, and rename them for easy organization. Each session maintains its own state independently.

What happens with very large texts?

Promptic can handle large texts efficiently. The foldable section design helps manage large content by allowing you to collapse sections you're not currently working with.

For very large texts, session storage has a size limit to ensure browser performance. You'll see an indicator if your text is too large to save to local storage.

What browsers are supported?

For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox. Some older browsers may have limited functionality.

Can I use Promptic for sensitive or confidential data?

Yes. Since all processing happens locally in your browser and no data is ever transmitted to any server, Promptic is safe to use with sensitive data.

However, please be aware that your sessions are stored in browser local storage, which could potentially be accessed by other scripts on the same domain. If you're working with highly sensitive data, we recommend clearing your session after use or using your browser's private/incognito mode.

Yes, Promptic is completely free to use with no limitations. There are no ads, no premium features, and no registration required.
